Ludacris To Help Produce Reality Show Starring Child Prodigy

Atlanta based rapper and actor Ludacris and Disturbing Tha Peace?s Chaka Zulu and Jeff Dixon are teaming up with DuBose Entertainment to help produce a new reality show that will focus on the process of creating and maintaining a new music label.

Interestingly enough, the music label will be run by Big Korey, a nine-year-old who has already worked with producers such as Jermaine Dupri, Dallas Austin, and Jazze Pha.

?You?ve got to see this kid. He?s amazing,? Ludacris said in a statement. ?He?s someone that I will definitely be working with in the future.”

At the age of nine Big Korey has already been deemed ?The World?s Youngest Super Producer? by many.

?Big Korey will be the next big music mogul. I?m excited to be working with DTP and to bring the gift of this kid to television,? said James DuBose, president of DuBose Entertainment in a statement.

As part of the show Big Korey will develop his own music, sign and develop new talent, and promote his new label.

A distributor for the show has not been chosen yet.

Yung Joc To Serve As Presenter At Atlanta Awards Show Honoring Students

Bad Boy South artist Yung Joc is well known for catchy hits like ?It?s Goin? Down? and ?I Know You See It?, but today (May 2) the Atlanta native will step out of the spotlight as he and others honor an exceptional group of elementary, middle and high school students from Atlanta.

The Choose Success Awards will honor and award students from Atlanta Public Schools and Dekalb County Schools who have made a difference through community service and who have also made significant improvements in school.

Yung Joc will act as presenter on awards night, presenting various awards to these students.

“It is an honor to give back to the community that has given so much to me. I feel honored,” Yung Joc told AllHipHop.com.

Choose Success is a program put into action by Communities In Schools and gives students the opportunity to give back to their own communities through small service project grants.

Other attendees of the Choose Success Awards include the first African-American female to serve as Chief Justice in Georgia, Georgia State Supreme Court Chief Justice Leah Ward Sears.

The event will take place at the Loudermilk Center from noon to 1:30 p.m. and 11 Alive News Anchor Brenda Wood will serve as Mistress of Ceremonies.

Yung Joc is planning on releasing his second album, Hustlenomics on July 31.

Rising Rapper Sporty-O Shot Twice

Atlanta, GA rapper Sporty-O is in stable condition, after being shot twice early today (May 2) near his East Point, GA home, in what sources have called a botched robbery attempt.

Sporty-O, born George Williams, is best known for his role in Jamie Kennedy’s hit series Blowin’ Up.

Witnesses said the rapper argued with another man near the Buckingham Court apartment complex. A short foot chase ensued.

Sporty-O was shot twice around 4:00 am, suffering a gunshot wound to the face and leg.

He collapsed just as he attempted to enter his apartment and was taken to a local hospital by an innocent bystander.

Two other men were also shot and injured in the altercation.

The rapper was eventually transferred to Grady Hospital, where he underwent surgery and was listed in stable, but critical condition.

Sporty-O recently released the single “U Not Beyonce,” which has received airplay on various radio stations across the country.

A representative for Sporty-O told AllHipHop.com that the rapper plans to be “back on his feet and performing within the next 4 weeks.”

Sporty-O recently released SuperSport: The Mixtape Vol.II, through the 113 Music Group.

The mixtape features appearances by Sean P of the YoungBloodZ, Bone Crusher and others.
